Aside from the delicious treats, it was a delight to celebrate the baking talents of these women. As part of our commitment to #holistic accompaniment, we love to hold space for creative expression and recreation like this workshop.

Working towards #MigrationWithDignity never tasted so wonderful.

Caminar hacia #MovilidadConDignidad nunca supo tan maravilloso.
#Latergram - About two weeks ago, we hosted our an #Latergram - About two weeks ago, we hosted our annual Mother’s Day celebration in Mexico. 🌸

When we face policies that undermine migrant rights and ignore their human dignity, holding space for hope, joy, and celebration is all the more vital and powerful.

The truth is this: each of us, whether we are in migration or not, is worthy of care and accompaniment. Each of us has unique gifts and strengths.

At our #díadelasmadres celebration, we made a special effort to recognize the immense kindness, strength, and caregiving of the mothers among us. We also held space together to cherish the memories and connection with those mothers who we hope to see again.

Together, we can bring about #MigrationWithDignity - and every act of joyful celebration gets us closer to it, too.

“When people ask me how I’ve stayed in this wo “When people ask me how I’ve stayed in this work for so long, I ask them to first picture open hands.

I recognize that it’s not mine to hold, but God’s.

Whenever I start to clench my hands or take too much responsibility, I envision my hands opening again.

I must be ready to receive people and what comes, but I must also keep my hands open to let things go and leave them to God.

Ultimately, we are partners in the work that God is doing, not the other way around.” says Executive Director Joanna Williams.

👐This image of open hands that intertwines with our concept of Collective Care. It is an image that illustrates our pursuit of Equity and Wellness, one of our Strategic Priorities.
