Alma Reynoso
Psychologist
“Despite everything they’ve been through, they have a space.”
Alma Reynoso is the Psychology Coordinator. She started working with KBI in September 2020. Her main task is to provide tools for the emotional well-being of migrants. Another of its functions is to provide them with psychosocial support, care in crisis when they are significantly affected, and follow up on their post-traumatic stress, which is usually why most of them come to the shelter, or when they are in situations of anxiety, depression; apart from that she gives accompaniment to the children so that they assimilate a little the changing situation in their lives.
Another essential task is to support the shelter, participating in the different groups, talks, and group activities.
Alma enjoys closely engaging with the people she serves, knowing that despite everything they have experienced, they have a space, a place where they can let off steam by listening and, perhaps, be able to help them to find some justice and a dignified moment among the trials and tribulations they have overcome.
