Alma is in charge of managing human resources for the Kino border. She has worked as a psychologist since 2020, and in 2023, she decided to shift her focus, aiming to support the Initiative’s team in their development and well-being. She is creating care programs for our dedicated collaborators and providing listening spaces that allow the team to feel how valuable they are in this great mission.
“One of the things I love most about my job is seeing how we are all part of a mechanism, and each piece is important to fulfilling our mission of addressing the needs of migrants, restoring their dignity and worth as people. But to achieve this, I believe that, as a team, we first need to feel that same worth and dignity, and that is my personal mission: to maintain the atmosphere of responsiveness and collaboration that exists at Kino, so that we can continue with this great mission that benefits so many migrant brothers and sisters who arrive at the northern border.”
