Last month, with the release of the KBI’s 2017 Annual Report, Father Sean highlighted our activities and programs throughout a challenging year at the border, and expressed the KBI’s heartfelt thanks for your support that makes this work possible. Among the recent projects, the KBI established a temporary shelter to serve the growing number of asylum seekers experienced unprecedented delays at the Nogales Port of Entry. In July, when the KBI noted a decrease in the number of migrants arriving at the port of entry, we decided to close the improvised shelter, while continuing to serve migrants waiting in the port and minister to their well-being. As the immigration environment shifts and families struggle to stay together, we ask for your continued assistance in responding to these urgent situations. You can help us accompany migrants by making a monthly or one-time donation here: https://www.kinoborderinitiative.org/give/. Your contributions keep our doors open, our aid and advocacy programs active, and our goals within reach. Thank you for all you do!
