This month, KBI celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Kino Teens alongside students and staff from numerous high schools in Arizona and traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice. Additionally, Sr. Pina Bejarano represented KBI at a gathering of shelter personnel and advocates in Matamoros and many children, migrants, and volunteers participated in a march for the environment through the streets of Nogales, Sonora. New Yearlong Volunteer Program at KBI
KBI is excited to announce the launch of a year-long volunteer program for people ages 21 and older. This program will run from February 2020-February 2021. Housing, most food, and a stipend will provided to a small, binational community of volunteers. Members of the community will participate in a diversity of aspects of the work and life of KBI and current border realities.
