The Kino Border invites you to a special event on November 19th from 7:00-10:00pm at the MSA Annex in Tucson. Famed opera and mariachi singer, Edgar Ricaud, will kick off the tour for his new album, “El Recuerdo,” in honor of his Mexican roots and heritage. He has kindly offered to donate all proceeds to the Kino Border Initiative’s humanitarian aid work to support migrants in Nogales.
Edgar, who is originally from Nogales, describes his new album, “El Recuerdo” as a trip down memory lane. He sings many of his favorite childhood songs ranging from classic mariachi, Mexican pop, and opera. He dedicates this concert to all the migrants who were forced to flee their places of origin in Mexico due to extreme violence and persecution.
The concert will open with Las Azaleas, a Latin music group from Tucson.
We hope you can attend and help spread the word among your friends. Tickets are $20 each and currently on sale here.
