
This month, we share news of recent and upcoming conferences about immigration, advocacy, and social justice as well as information about the KBI’s participation in another Facebook Live video conference and details about March immersions.
- Live Video Conference: The KBI and the Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN) will host their third Facebook Live video conference, “Witness from the Border,” featuring updates from the KBI, a migrant testimony, and ideas from University of Scranton students on how to continue to take action after immersions. The live event will take place on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 12:00pm PST/3:00pm EST. - Faith and Justice Retreat: Father Sean Carroll, S.J. will be leading a non-silent retreat, “A Faith that Does Justice,” at the Jesuit Retreat Center of Los Altos, CA from Friday through Sunday, April 27–29, 2018. It will focus on Ignatian spirituality as a means of promoting social justice and include reflections on ways to respond to social needs in our midst. - The KBI on the Road: In mid-March, Father Pete Neeley, S.J. presented two workshops in Spanish at the Religious Education Conference in Los Angeles. He covered topics related to peace and justice and the KBI’s work at the U.S.–Mexico border.
- CLINIC Convening 2018: As part of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network. Inc. (CLINIC) annual conference, CLINIC Convening 2018, Father Sean Carroll, S.J. will be a plenary speaker.
