KBI December Announcements
Along with background on International Migrants Day, we share details about the recent bi-national posada, KBI presentations, and immersion experiences.
- International Migrants Day: This month’s newsletter arrives in your inbox on International Migrants Day, observed each year on December 18. Established by the United Nations, the occasion affirms our support of social justice and humane immigration policies as well as our solidarity with the 258 million migrants and refugees throughout the world. To learn more about this day of recognition, review this brochure from the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights: http://www.nnirr.org/~nnirrorg/drupal/sites/default/files/imd_brochure_final2_0.pdf.
- The KBI on the Road: At the Justice for Immigrants National Conference in Washington, D.C. on December 5–7, 2018, Joanna gave a presentation on the KBI’s recent report, prepared in conjunction with the Center for Migration Studies of New York and the Office of Justice and Ecology at the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, Communities in Crisis: Removals and Their Human Consequences.
