Through workshops, team-building activities, student presentations, role-play exercises, and personal reflections, participants learned how to strengthen solidarity, accompaniment, and advocacy efforts in their home communities. In their time at the border, the teens also met migrants at the KBI, heard their stories, and walked along commonly used corridors to better empathize with the migrant experience. These young leaders are always an inspiration to the KBI, and they help spur each other and those around them to greater action and commitment on behalf of migrants and asylum seekers.
- The KBI on the Road: Father Sean Carroll, S.J., KBI Executive Director, traveled to Arden, North Carolina for a mission appeal at St. Barnabas Catholic Church on July 13–14. In addition, Joanna Williams, Director of Education and Advocacy, will present at the Ignatian Justice Summit, held July 23–26 at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.
