KBI’s First Annual Event in Hermosillo

West Cosgrove Receives the Border Hero Award
On Saturday, October 20, 2012, West Cosgrove the Director of Education for the Kino Border Initiative was recognized in El Paso, Texas for his years of dedication and of work along the U.S./Mexico border . He was presented with the "Border Hero" award by the organization Las Americas. West has been a border activist for the past seventeen years. He is the founder of Project Puente and Casa Puente. Hello. In the last blog post I wrote about the undocumented immigrant. He or she is the person who is in the United States without proper immigration status. He or she could be a person who was here originally with a legal visa, but when that visa expired they decided to stay.
