Welcoming Gina Ramos
We are excited to announce the arrival of Gina Ramos, who joins the staff as the Social Worker at our migrant center. Originally from Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, she is most recently arriving to Nogales from Mexico City where she has been for the past twenty years. A migrant herself, she holds an undergraduate degree in Library Science, is studying Psychology at UNAM in Mexico City, and holds a Masters in Education from Monterrey Tech in Mexico City. Gina has sixteen years of field work experience with Jesuit non-profit organizations and universities working on migration and human rights issues in Mexico and the US. She is so glad for the opportunity to continue her life of service to others in Ignatian tradition as the Social Worker at the Kino Border Initiative.
Congratulations, Gina. KBI, Father Sean, Father Pete, Yvette, Xavier, Katie are all great!
