Call to Action: #SaveAsylum

We have witnessed the Trump Administration slowly chip away at a carefully crafted asylum system designed to protect refugees from being returned to the harm and persecution from which they flee. The U.S. has effectively stripped migrants of their right to due process and refuge, and subjected them to indefinite limbo and precariousness in Mexico. We condemn these recent attacks on the right to asylum and fear the ones that lie ahead.

In efforts to #SaveAsylum, we urge you to call and write to your Congresspeople today and insist that they:

Oppose requests to funnel more money to CBP and ICE, two of the agencies charged with carrying out much of the administration’s anti-asylum policies, including Migration Protection Protocols (MPP) otherwise known as ‘Remain in Mexico.’
